Steel Cord Belting

Steelcord Belting

Steelcord belts can only be done hot due to the nature of the splice. The belt is stripped taking care to leave a layer of rubber around the cords ( to prevent the cords rusting ) , the bottom rubber is then placed under the splice the cords are then overlapped.

The spacing between the cords filled with raw rubber, the top rubber then put in place, and then the entire splice area is then cured under high pressure and with heat. After cooling and trimming the belt is ready to run.
